Your people
Who do you surround yourself with on a daily basis? What type of conversations are you talking about each day? Are these situations going to help move you forward or make you go backwards. I grew up in Hackney, it was a rough place to live in. It was very easy for me to be a part of a gang or sell drugs but I knew there’s was more to life than what I can see. So I knew I had to surround myself with what I love to do and that was sports.
This got me out of so much unnecessary trouble and made good friends along the way. However in my late teens i fell out of the love with sports, got depressed and started to hang out with the wrong crowd. It resulted in me drinking and going to a lot of parties and painted a scar on my identity which was becoming hard to cover up.
Now I am surrounded myself with people who are driven and have the love for people and it has brought out a desire for me to do more.
It takes thought and action to form a group of people in your life that you can rely on no matter what. You have to actively seek them out. The key to surrounding yourself with like–minded people is knowing what kind of people make you feel most secure, inspired, and confident.
Life is a beautiful process that we can not skip. Our mind is the biggest tool that we have, just like our body needs physical fitness our mind does also. We need our MENTAL FITNESS to help push on and keep persevering.
You are unique, loved and accepted. Don’t waste this very moment.
